Abstract
Each participant will present on the current state of synchronous writing centre tutoring in their institution. A guided discussion will follow Goals of the session: • To give the audience a brief sense of the larger debates surrounding the implementation of technology-mediated tutoring in writing centres. • To guide the audience in exploring the pros and cons of using live, one-on-one tutoring technology in the context of real applications and experiences at Athabasca University, University of Saskatchewan, and University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
